The Wigner-Smith (WS) time-delay matrix relates a lossless and reciprocal system's scattering to its frequency derivative enables the synthesis of modes that experience well-defined group delays when interacting with system. elements WS for surface scatterers antennas comprise renormalized energy-like volume integrals involving electric magnetic fields arise exciting system via ports. Here, direct indirect methods computing are presented. method evaluates using integral operators act on incident current densities all excitations characterizing matrix. accomplishes same task by parameters their derivatives. Both computationally efficient readily integrated into existing equation codes. proposed techniques facilitate evaluation derivatives antenna impedances, patterns, scatterer radar cross sections in terms field energies derived from single-frequency characterization
